Your first massage, explained.
What actually happens in the room, start to finish. No mystery, no awkwardness, nothing to prepare.
Most men put off their first professional massage for years. Not because they don't want one, but because nobody ever tells them what actually happens in the room. So here it is, start to finish, no mystery.
Before you come
There is nothing to prepare. Come straight from work or straight from the gym; a shower is available at the studio. Skip the heavy meal right before, drink some water, and that's it. You don't need to know massage vocabulary or have a plan. Telling me "my shoulders are wrecked and I want to switch off" is a perfect brief.
When you arrive
The studio is private. No front desk, no waiting room, no strangers in robes. We talk for a minute or two about how your body feels, what you do for work and training, and what you want out of the hour. Then the room is yours to get ready.
Undressing and draping
You undress in private, to your own comfort level, and lie on a warmed table under a sheet. The sheet stays over you, and only the area being worked is uncovered. Prefer to keep your briefs on? Completely fine. This part worries first-timers the most and it is a non-issue within the first two minutes.
During the session
- Pressure is a conversation. I check in early and adjust. Deep work should feel productive, never like something you have to survive.
- You don't have to talk. Some men chat for five minutes and drift off. Most go quiet. Both are right.
- Falling asleep is a compliment. So is the occasional stomach growl. Bodies do body things when they finally relax; nobody is judging.
Afterward
You'll feel looser, warmer, and noticeably calmer. Drink water, take the evening easy if you can, and if we went deep, give those muscles a day before your next hard session. Some men feel pleasantly worked the next day, the way a good training day feels.

DM to book a sessionThe thing nobody says out loud
A lot of men feel a little self-conscious the first time: about their body, about not knowing the etiquette, about simply receiving care. Here's the truth: every body on my table is just a body that works hard and carries tension. You show up, you're looked after, you leave lighter. That's the entire arrangement.
Still have questions? The FAQ covers discretion, the studio location, and booking. Or just ask directly, the DMs are open.
